I tried to post this while I was up in Birmingham, but for some reason my phone won't send any emails. Ugh! Anyway, I always forget my toothbrush or toothpaste when traveling, and I forgot the toothpaste on my recent trip. I called down and above is what they sent up to me...hahaha! It actually came packaged with a toothbrush too, but I just found the small size so funny:-)

Probably my favorite meal up in Georgia was at the Linger Longer Steakhouse on the Ritz property. I did something I never do and ordered a Ribeye. I usually always get the filet, but I wanted to try something different and how can you go wrong with a pound of steak perfection cooked over a wood burning grill:-)
I also added on "Steak Rossini" which is pan seared Foie Gras, Black Truffle, and a Brioche Crouton. On the side I had some sweet corn grits. The meal was super rich, but I did a pretty good job on it:-) All that plantation air makes a man hungry:-)
So I thought I would post some more pics of the largest gingerbread house I've ever seen. We just stayed at the Ritz Carlton at Reynolds Plantation in Georgia, where they assembled this in the lobby. Pretty amazing:-)
The construction of the pictured gingerbread house is still under construction in the hotel lobby here. You can actually walk inside. It has a real working fireplace inside too! More pics to come on this one:-)
So we made it to the Ritz-Carlton at Reynolds Plantation this afternoon and it is so peaceful. After some great lunch (see the pic of the turkey club with onion rings), we walked over and booked some treatments at the spa for tomorrow. Then we walked around the grounds and just took in the sights, before deciding to take a canoe out on lake oconee.
As we paddled around Georgia's second largest lake (pics coming later) the only sounds were birds and fish jumping out of the water. A few times we just stopped and listened. Hearing nothing is so refreshing!
Well, that's the update. Time to get ready for dinner...all that work on the water has gotten me very hungry:-)

to book up to four complimentary companion tickets on qualifying
domestic coach tickets.
How much does that suck? I mean you're paying $450 a year just to
have the card. Shame on your AMEX.

Man! Some dude always has to up the ante doesn't he!:-) A japanese
company Rocketplane Kristler has joined forces with wedding planner
1st Advantage to begin having wedding ceremonies while on a one hour
space flight. Cost would be a cool $2.2 million. The goal for the
space wedding services to begin is 2011, but they will be accepting
applications starting July 1, 2008.
Fellas...start saving:-)
