Smart Car: Ed Hardy Package

A company is doing an Limited Edition Ed Hardy Smart Car "upgrade"
package. I personally think this is the dumbest thing I've seen in a
long time, but I'm sure someone thinks it's cool. Price tag on the
upgrade alone is $22,765 plus tax. Add that to the price of the car
and you're in the high 30's to $40,000 range for the 80 hp machine.
Crazy.

This is so James Bond! Swiss watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre have teamed
up on a new timepiece that doubles as a key to the $260,000 Aston
Martin DBS. The watch locks and unlocks the car, but you'll still
need a key to make the car go (that part sucks). The watch carries a
price tag of $37,900 and is available as an add on for DBS owners.

So with King on the way (maybe if I say it enough, it will come true...hahaha), I had to post a pic of me back in the day. Keep in mind that this was taken by a camera over 20 years ago, so it wasn't capable of capturing all of my good looks, but it got most of them...hahahah. Totally kidding, of course.

It is crazy to look back and think, "Is that really me???"

Weekly Story: King Eller

So Charissa called me today and said that Angela (my bro's wife)
invited us to dinner tonight at 6:30pm. I was of course available,
it's not like I really do a whole lot most of the time:-) Plus, the
added benefit of a free meal that is good, well that means I would eat
free twice in one week (Mom always takes care of the other day).

So I'm shoveling "skillet" (a meal Angela is known for) in and right
after my Mom's detailed breakdown of a movie she just saw, Angela
says, "We're Pregnant!!!"

I'm not an excitable guy. Far from it. Emotional at times, yes.
Jump up and down excited, no. Well, my Mom and Charissa took care of
the jumping up and down part. I think my Mom was as excited as I've
ever seen her. If you know mi madre (my mom, for you non spanish
speakers), she has a heart the size of Texas and it pretty much
dictates her every move. That heart was filled with so much joy with
the announcement that my bro and Angela were having a baby. Gotta
love it:-)

For me it won't hit me till I'm taking King (more on this later)
shopping or to play ball or something like that. It's very cool to
think my little brother and the girl that used to bring me cookies and
brownies from Crispers will be having a baby. I really feel they will
make great parents. Angela has a passion for kids and Bob is a grown
up kid himself with more patience than I'll ever come close to
possessing.

King is due in late April, so before I'm 32 I'll be an Uncle. That's
very cool.

Ok, to the name thing. I'm sure if Angela and Bob have read up to
this point, they are laughing or rolling their eyes. Maybe both.
King is the name I came up with if it's a boy. It's classic. It's
powerful. A little over the top? Perhaps, but who cares. Bow down
the the King...hahah. Seriously, how cool would be to be named King
Eller. Maybe King Kenny Eller:-)

Having that happen is as likely as me being named King of England, but
I think it's catchy and who knows. Nine months from now there could
be a King in the family. King Eller. Kinda rolls of the tongue
doesn't it;-)

Congrats to Bob and Ang...and the future KING!!!!!

7.9 Million Dollars for a Bugatti

That's right. A rare 1937 Bugatti Type 57SC Atalante Coupe sold at
Gooding & Co.'s auction for a blistering $7.92 million dollars!!!

I really like cars, but this is just a freakin waste of money.
$7,920,000.00 for a car. Broken down, if you were earning in the top
ten percent of income in the United States and were able to take home
after taxes $100,000 a year, it would take you over 79 years of saving
every penny.

Hope the car does a lot of good in the garage.

Knight Rider GPS: Update

So you can officially pre-order Mio's Knight Rider GPS system through your local Radio Shack (apparently). Final price tag is said to be $269.99 with the actual release date scheduled for September 24th.
