Christmas Shopping

So, I set out this year to get my shopping done early and then
something happened. That something was, I didn't actually go. Here
it is the 12th day of the month of December and I haven't bought one
single gift. Is it too late to just send a full list to Santa?;-)

How are you doing on your shopping list(s)?

Wife of Friend: "Dear, why does John keep honking his horn while doing loops around the block??"
Friend (face pressed against the window): "...."
Wife of Friend: "I'm worried about him Dear. It's 22 degrees outside and he's been driving for 4 hours with his windows down."
Friend (Drooling): "...."
Wife of Friend: "Since when did John slick back his hair? And why is he wearing sunglasses on an overcast day like today?"
Friend (passed out): "..."
Wife of Friend: "You guys are so weird!"

Friend: "So what's the ring like, tell me, tell me every detail."
Girl: "It's so pretty! I can't stop looking at it. It's so pretty!"
Friend: "I can't wait to see it! ((Screams))"
Girl: "OMG ((Screams))"
Friend: "Soooo...is it big?"
Girl: "Umm, yeah, I can't believe it! OMG!! ((Screams))"

OK, ok, I'm joking...save the hate mail:-) This 35.56 carat Wittelsbach diamond has been on the market, changing hands for over 80 years. A London based jeweler Laurence Graff paid $24.47 million for the stone!!! in case you're still wondering, yes this set a record:-)

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Too BIG for the bike...part 2

As you can tell from the picture, the size of the bike is killing my speed:-) The speck out in front is Charissa...she was fast!!!

Too BIG for the bike:-)

This past Easter I went over to my parents and Charissa and I rode their bikes. I haven't been on a bike for years, but it's like riding a bike...well, you know what I mean;-) Anyway, I'm quite a bit taller than my parents and thus the bike was a bit too small for me (see pic). It was a blast though.
